This program is a unique and comprehensive service providing support for students in all areas of the regular and expanded core curriculum. We maintain a high quality staff of professional teachers with expert training and diverse backgrounds to best match the needs of your student and district.

Functional Vision Assessment (FVA)
-- Eligibility and IEP planning using a collaborative model of assessment
-- Formal and informal assessments of visual functioning
-- Review of medical and clinical information
-- Observations and evaluation in the functional educational setting
-- Orientation and Mobility evaluation included with FVA at no additional cost

Classroom Services for Visually Impaired Students
-- Alternative literacy such as Braille or audio formats
-- Material modification into tactile and enlarged formats
-- Visual Efficiency Skills training
-- Activities of Daily Living
-- Note taking and study skills strategies
-- Professional consultation and support for students, family, and staff

Orientation and Mobility Instruction (O&M)
-- Non-visual and low vision travel techniques
-- Campus and community-based travel instruction
-- Instruction in the use of white canes and other mobility devices
-- Distance Magnification as a Travel Tool

Low Vision Assistive Technology (LVAT)
-- LVAT on-site evaluations for functional technology related to Visual Impairments
-- Equipment and software trials
-- Thorough diagnostic report outlining student response to technologies
-- Consultation and support of adaptive technology and software
-- Staff in-services, trainings, and technology support
